・ Hist foam (Teflon mold)

Dedicated Teflon mold ideal for use with Technovit 7100 and Technovit 8100. It has a stainless steel bottom to keep the temperature at the time of curing low. The mold is designed to be easy to cut after curing.

Two types of shapes,"Hist Foam S"and"Hist Foam Q", are available according to the sample shape.

・ Hist block

This is a dedicated block designed to securely fix the sample to the microtome when cutting the sample with the microtome. Use Technovit 7100 and Technovit 8100 in combination with the dedicated fixing resin Technovit 3040. It can be stored for a long period of time, and each has a fitting type joint, so it can be stored together.

・ Technovit 3040 combination package (100g powder + 80cc liquid)

A fixing resin used in combination with the above hist block. It is based on Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) and cures quickly (about 5-10 minutes) after mixing to firmly secure the block and the embedded sample.

・ Hist blade (hist knife for microtome)/holder

Dedicated disposable blades and dedicated holders ideal for cutting sections of samples embedded in HEMA (2- hydroethyl methacrylate) based resins such as Technovit 7100 and Technovit 8100. It can be used with existing rotary type microtomes, and it is also possible to obtain sections with a thickness of about 1 μm.
