It was developed as an embedding medium that allows easy sectioning of 1 to 2 μm instead of paraffin embedding for microscopic sectioning.
By changing the mixing ratio without de-embedding, it is possible to observe the same section and the same field of view with light microscopy and electron microscopy.
Wet cutting is possible by using MMA (methyl methacrylate).
